Today is rather unpleasant, weather wise, so windy, dark and freezing, but it is also a great day as it is Mr Miller's 31st Birthday, yesterday Jack and I made salt dough creations. J wanted to make a bike and a person (Mr Miller rides bikes) It was very thoughtful of him(c: When they were 'cooked' we painted them, J thought they were biscuits to eat. We also made him a card and wrote 'To Dad...Jack'. And it also said 'I love Dadda because he makes cubby houses with me and takes me to but a new toy, and J did a lovely drawing of them both.
Mr Miller had a sleep in (nothing new!) and after his shower he opened his presents.
While he was at work, we made a cake...
This cake had 4 eggs, Jack cracked them then stood there and crushed all the shells up...it kept him occupied for quite some time
While it was cooling I rugged up the kids and went in search of some strawberries and pressies.(I don't usually buy him presents as he buys things for himself when needed throughout the year and he is the sole income earner so it's 'his' money anyway)
No strawberries at our first destination but got some dried paw paw, which Mr Miller has been asking me to get for a while.
Next destination had strawberries at $6.95 punnet!!! Normally I wouldn't buy them but...special occasion so I did.
Next was Geard Cycles where Mr Miller's Brother works. I asked him for any ideas on what to get him...ended up with a bike light and windvest
last stop was the supermarket to get choc bullets and cadbury popping chocolate. I had a look for strawberries, and there weren't any but a note saying they were out of stock due to all the rain in Tas lately. So I bought a punnet os raspberries at $&.95 (one expensive cake)
On the way out Jack had a turn on the freebies machine and won a milkshake at Banjos, he was so excited...so after a chocolate milkshake abd a turn on the Noddy ride we headed home to wrap pressies and finish the cake.
I put the Lion King on for Jack to watch while I finished the cake and afterwards he got out his animals to role play
The animals had mud on them and the elephant was cleaning them with the water from his trunk
Charlie being occupied in his activity seat.
THE CAKE
Lucky Nanna Rob brought a pavlova
(I must say it was much nicer the next night, the cream had softened the cake and it was like fudge mmm)
Nanna Rob and Popy Pete reading Jack a bedtime story
(Jack's photography)
Happy Birthday Mr Miller. Hope you had a great day. We love you so much xxx
