Sickness

Our house smells like vicks at the moment. Both Jack and Charlie have been unwell. Jack has been unwell with either a runny nose and or cough for the last 5 weeks, and Charlie has had 2 colds in 4 months. I have tried everything-vicks and vicks vaporizer, honey lemon drink, vitamin C, cough medicine, antibiotics. Nothing seems to be working. Jack was laying in the loungeroom after school watching TV and was coughing to the point of gagging so I googled coughing at night and found a remedie-putting vicks on the soles of the feet then putting socks on, I was willing to give anything a try, so I tried it much to Jack's disgust. He said it was yucky and i'm sure it was....but it worked. I put it on again before bed and he didn't cough at all (He did wake from a dream). Charlie had a bad night though (It's either one or the other) he didn't go to sleep til 9.30 (I think) Was awake at 11 and wouldn't go back to sleep, would go off to sleep in my arms then wake as soon as I put him in his cot, tried to feed him and he just screamed, tried for a while then gave him a bottle which he took then went to sleep at 12. But woke again at 4.30 and had a good feed then slept til 8.45. During the night it seems hard and that it's not going to end, but it's not really that bad especially when I read blogs from http://lisajking.blogspot.com.au/ and www.nieniedialogues.blogspot.com.au. I am very blessed to have my family.
