Weight loss journey

I was always happy with my body-size/proportion, pre kids.
 (bad photo quality)

When I became pregnant with Jack I was ALWAYS so hungry, I didn't have any morning sickness and as I was always hungry I just ate. I put on 24 kilos, and a lot was fluid, baby etc but I didn't think I would put that much on. I did loose all the weight I had put on but once I stopped breast feeding I slowly put 7 kilos back on.

Me at my heaviest, yes I was 9 months pregnant (with Jack) But I had put on 24 kilos!!

When I became pregnant with Charlie I made a promise to myself that I would not put on as much as I did with Jack, and I'm glad to say I didn't...I still put on about 16 kilos, and I didn't have as much fluid and was a lot more active than my first pregnancy. And again I lost it all but slowly started putting it back on once I stopped breat feeding which was a lot sooner than with Jack.

I wanted to feel good about myself again, not just look good but feel good, fit and healthy.

I always wanted a juicer, (not sure why, and if I had got one prior to now I may not have used it)

I came across a page on facebook Juicing vegetables and there was a link to a documentary "Joe Cross, fat sick and nearly dead" It was very inspiring and I was determined to get a juicer and this would be my way to feeling happier about myself. No diets, no gimmicks, no pills. Good, clean, healthy eating. I finally bought my juicer and started pretty much straight away...

This is what I would have for lunch

This is dessert after chicken and vegetables...I find juicing just fruit is a waste of all the fibre so I blend it and it is really good just really thick

Breakfast

Another juice I enjoy with fennel, parsnip, turnip and swede...it is actually really fresh tasting

For snacks I was having a banana or some nuts...and was still having a hot chocolate with a biscuit, or a piece of bread...In the first week I lost about 2.5 kilos and in 8 weeks I have lost 4.5, I have so much more energy and feel so much better for doing this!! I have about 10 kilos to go...

Weekend Away

The boys and I went to stay at Nanna and Poppa's at St Helens while Mr Miller went on a kayak trip.
The weather was terrible, good excuse to stay inside and watch the grand final between Sydney Swans and the Hawthorn. Jack and I were going for Hawthorn so of course Poppa went for Sydney. It was a good close game with Sydney coming out on top...Poppa didn't rub it in too much.
Sunday was a beautiful day so we made the most of it before heading home and went out in Poppa's boat to catch some fish we caught a couple of flathead and a couple of cocky salmon.

Out for dinner
