4th Birthday 14th November

I can't believe our baby boy is 4!! And it feels like overnight he has changed and gotten older. He likes to do everything for himself, getting dressed, brushing his own teeth, pouring his own drinks. He even seems to talk differently now he is 4, and he is 'into' Spiderman, Star Wars and big boy lego...no more Bob the Builder or Thomas the Tank Engine.

Jack... "I had a good birthday, I liked the star wars cake. I liked the star wars present in the big box and the pod racer. I liked the sticker book from nanna and poppy. I ate prawns for dinner, after my dinner I had lemonade. Everyone sang happy birthday to me I blew out the candles. The cake had star wars on it and cp3o, r2d2, and it had lava coming out of a volcano. Everyone sang happy birthday.

Jack's Birthday started very early...at 5.00 he woke up, but not because it was his birthday as he had not remembered. So not sure why he was awake so early. He did stay in bed until about 6 though which was good.

Jack was surprised to see the balloons, presents and banner in the lounge room. He went straight to the presents and would open one then open the next!! His favourite was the star wars lego.

We had a rather quiet day, Nanna Sue came in the afternoon. Jack fell asleep on the couch at about 3ish and was still asleep when everyone came for dinner. When he woke up, again he was surprised to see everyone here.

Charlie was fascinated with the balloons

Melbourne

Thursday Uncle Doug took us and Nanna Rob to the airport at 6.00, we were all very excited to be going to Melbourne again, last time we went I was 7 months pregnant with Charlie and Jack was almost 3. Jack had a great trip last time...
On the plane both boys were getting tired as it was their bedtime and Charlie wouldn't sit still he threw himself back and hit his head on the armrest and screamed, everyone was looking at us, thank god he didn't cry for too long. This was before we even took off!!
When we arrived in Melbourne it was good we didn't have to wait for our luggage as Poppy Pete came over on the boat the night before with all our luggage, and he was waiting for us when we got there. He took us to our hotel, the Ibis. It took a while to get the porta cot and bottles and pyjamas etc organised for bed and Jack was overtired and jumping on the beds, it was all a bit stressful. It was about 10 o clock when we all got to bed.

Will write more about our trip in another post...

Spring

My favourite season is Spring, I love the crisp mornings and warm afternoons, green grass and new leaves and pretty flowers. The smell of freshly mown lawns and day light savings.
I can't believe it's November already!! October has just flown by and I'm sure this month will too, we have lots happening Jack's 4th birthday, My sisters birthday, trip to Melbourne, and Charlies first birthday party (a month early). Christmas will be here before we know it...
